Terms of Use — Junto

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Junto mobile application and platform. By creating an account or using Junto in any way, you agree to abide by these Terms.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Junto.
  • By signing up, you confirm that you are legally permitted to use the app in your country of residence.
  • We may ask for verification if an account is suspected to belong to a minor.

Purpose of the App

Junto is a social networking app designed to facilitate real-life group meetings — whether for dating, friendship, or simply shared experiences.

  • Junto is not a matchmaking or escort service.
  • The app aims to promote quality human connections, not transactions.

User Conduct

Users must:

  • Behave with respect, honesty, and in good faith.
  • Avoid any harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or unwanted advances.
  • Not promote commercial products, external services, or post spam.

We foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful community — any behavior contrary to these values will be addressed firmly.

Group Interactions

  • Users must form or join a real group of friends to interact with other groups.
  • Fake profiles, impersonation, or deceptive group creation are strictly prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to verify profiles or remove suspicious accounts.

Moderation & Safety

  • Junto has a dedicated moderation team with admin-level access.
  • Inappropriate behavior can be reported directly in the app.
  • Reports are taken seriously and reviewed by human moderators.
  • Based on severity or repetition, consequences include:
    • Warning
    • Temporary suspension
    • Permanent ban

Junto also allows for the reporting of off-app behavior (e.g., during a physical meeting) that may compromise user safety or community values. Serious violations outside the app — including harassment or misconduct during real-life encounters — may result in a ban, if verified.

Content & Responsibility

  • Users are solely responsible for the content they publish and the interactions they initiate.
  • All shared content must respect the dignity and rights of others.
  • Junto is not liable for interactions or incidents that occur outside of the platform — but we do encourage users to report any safety concerns.

Account Termination

  • Users may delete their account at any time via the app.
  • Junto reserves the right to suspend, limit, or delete any account that violates these Terms.
  • We may also restrict accounts at our discretion to protect the community’s safety.

Updates & Contact

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the app implies acceptance of any changes.

Governing Law and Language

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and applicable European Union regulations. In the event of a dispute, Spanish courts shall have jurisdiction. In case of translation into multiple languages, the Spanish version of these Terms shall prevail.

App Stores & Third-Party Platforms

Junto is distributed via third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading and using the app through these platforms, you also agree to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.

Please note:

  • Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not responsible for the operation, support, or content of Junto.
  • Any claims, disputes, or issues related to Junto must be addressed directly with us, not with Apple or Google.
  • In case of any conflict between these Terms and the Store Terms, these Terms shall prevail in relation to your use of Junto.
  • If you downloaded Junto via the App Store: You acknowledge that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms, and Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as such.

Show Up with Respect

Junto is about real-life group meetings, not anonymous swipes. Respect yourself. Respect others. Respect the space you’re in.

This means:

  • Be kind and open-minded
  • Dress appropriately for the vibe of the event
  • Avoid inappropriate comments or aggressive flirting

Consent is Everything

Every interaction should be mutual and enthusiastic. Silence is not consent. Pressure is never okay. Always ask. Always respect a "no". Touch, intimacy, or even proximity must be welcomed by both sides.

Stay Grounded

You're meeting real people in real places — not avatars. Junto encourages authentic connection, not roleplay or manipulation.

Please avoid:

  • Ghosting mid-event
  • Love bombing
  • Leading someone on just for attention

Red Flags & Safety First

If something feels off, trust your instinct. You can always:

  • Leave the meeting
  • Contact our moderation team via the app
  • Block or report a user discreetly

We take safety seriously. Reports are always reviewed by humans. Junto does not tolerate harassment, discrimination, threats, or unsafe behavior — online or offline.

Group Integrity

Your group is your vibe. Choose your crew well. All members of your group are responsible for respectful behavior. If someone from your group violates the Guidelines, the whole group may be suspended.

Off-App Incidents

What happens in real life matters — even if it’s not “in the chat.” Misconduct or inappropriate behavior during a group date or meeting can lead to a permanent ban. We’re here to support you — with tools, reporting options, and real humans reviewing each case.

In Case of Emergency

If you're ever in danger, please contact local authorities immediately. Junto is not a crisis hotline or emergency service. But we will support any investigation and take action to keep our community safe.

Discretion & Privacy

Junto events are social — but not public. Photos, videos or content involving others must never be shared without their explicit consent. Let’s keep things elegant and private.
